(1) Name

The Association shall be called the Bognor, Chichester and District Badminton Association.

(2) Objectives

(a) To encourage Badminton in the District and to assist Clubs and Players in every way.
(b) To organise a District League for affiliated Clubs.
(c) To organise or assist in other Competitions and Tournaments as may be considered advisable.

(3) Officers

The Officers of the Association shall consist of: The Chairman, Vice Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, Fixtures Secretary and Entertainment Secretary.

(4) Management

The affairs of the Association shall be managed by an Executive Committee consisting of the Officers and two other members, all of whom shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Committee shall have power to co-opt additional persons and may appoint such sub-committee as it may think necessary. Four or more members of the Executive Committee should be present at any main meeting.

(5) Membership

Membership shall be open to all Clubs within 12 miles of Bognor or Chichester and who's members must be affiliated to the Badminton Association of England through the Sussex County Badminton Association. New Clubs desiring to take part must make known their intention by 31st July.

(6) Meeting

The Annual General Meeting shall be held once a year, normally in June or July. A General Meeting may be called by the Secretary at any time, or shall be called at the request in written representations of four or more clubs, the purpose of such a meeting being clearly defined beforehand. At least 14 days notice shall be given of any such meeting. All members of Clubs belonging to the Association shall be entitled to attend the AGM, voting to be ONE vote per club. Any vote shall only be carried on a majority.

(7) Subscriptions

The Annual subscriptions as determined at the AGM shall be payable at the Fixtures Meeting each year.

(8) Change of Rules

The Exectutive Committee reserve the right to change the League Rules as they see fit and these rules shall be issued to all member clubs. Any club wishing to propose ateration or addition to the rules may do so either by calling a special meeting (as described in 6 above) or in writing to the Secretary at least 14 days prior to the AGM. Notice of such proposed alteration shall be circulated to Clubs with their notice of the AGM. No alteration shall be made to the rules in this way unless carried by a simple majority of total votes recorded.
